Outreach and Missions: What We Do

Jesus gave a direct command to his disciples to go into the world and give in his name. As we do this, we do it unto Him. Mission work has long been a basic effort for Christians across the world. Outreach and Mission work at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church fully supports that Christian value.

You may have been asking: “What can I do to make my own life more meaningful?” If you have been thinking that part of your life could be devoted to worthwhile volunteering, we offer many opportunities.

Our work is joyful — the members bring laughter and warmth into the projects. Our work is valuable — our efforts improve the lives of children and adults during special times of need. Our work is also of and for the community — building our own church community as we lend many hands to assist those in our larger community.

Mission and Outreach members are a busy group. Our volunteers have a wide variety of backgrounds, ages and skills. All are committed to reaching out beyond the walls into the wider community to affect the lives of those in need.

Committee Mission Statement

The Missions and Outreach Committee of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church is called upon by God to make important decisions on the distribution of available funds to those in need, and to do it in a loving, just and prayerful way. God calls on all of us in the church body to use our collective time and talents for supplying other needs which may be Spiritual and supportive in nature.
