Homework Club

The Homework Club is a Community Outreach Program that provides one-on-one tutoring to children mainly in grades 1 through 6, followed by a free dinner for the students, their families, and the tutors. The program takes place Tuesday evenings November through May from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Students in the program primarily attend Maywood Hills Elementary School but students from other area schools, including junior and senior high schools, can register on a space-available basis. The Homework Club is a non-religious program and is open to families of all faiths.

When students arrive they are given a snack before sitting down with a trained volunteer for an hour of tutoring. Homework help is the primary focus, but other learning activities are also available. Following the homework session, a nutritious meal is served to all participants and their families. This program allows the family, as well as the student and tutor, to bond in the educational process.

To register your child in this program, please contact the Church office at (425) 486-6388. You are also welcome to stop by any Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m. to see if this program will work for your family.

The Homework Club does not meet during school breaks, including summer break.

All children and volunteers are welcome.
