“For the Word became flesh and lived among us” John 1:14

While the consuming frenzy builds around us, the season of Advent sets our beat to a different drum.  Taps out a different rhythm.  Sings us a different song.  It reminds us that we are a waiting people, waiting with hope and expectation for God to reveal Himself in our lives and in our world.  We wait for the coming Messiah through remembering the story of His birth and turning our hearts to wait again for His return.

For the next four weeks, we will be looking at some of the gifts Jesus gives us through the early stories of his life, considering what these gifts tell us about the nature of God and his continued saving work in our lives and our world.
