Join us after worship on October 22nd for this opportunity to learn about the art and life of Watanabe Sadao. Anne Pyle, a student of Mr. Watanabe and a collector of his work will speak on the theme “A Japanese Disciple: Watanabe Sadao.” Following a light lunch (soup and bread) we’ll move into the sanctuary to hear Anne’s presentation.
Mark your calendars now for an evening of fantastic fellowship, a chance to bid on great values, enjoy fabulous desserts, and support Emmanuel’s various mission projects while trimming down the mortgage. The auction will be Saturday, November 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the church.
We are now procuring wonderful auction items that will make the evening even sweeter. We are asking for your help to obtain or donate auction items such as restaurant certificates, handmade items, services, unused goods, use of vacation homes, etc. Procurement forms and a letter explaining the event will be available each Sunday after worship from Sally Hanson, LInda Avery , Anne Shelhorn or Carrell Tysver and we encourage members and friends to ask area merchants for a donation. Deadline for receiving donations is October 29.
Beginning after church on October 1, we will show some of the auction items that will be available to the highest bidder on November 4. Most of our auction items will be offered in our Silent Auction, but we will also feature some great items in a Live Auction that evening.
Tickets will be also be available beginning October 1. Admission is $10.00 per person and includes desserts and coffee.
