Mark is the shortest of the four Gospels and like the rest of the Gospels presents its own unique perspective of Jesus and his message. One of the most often repeated words in Mark is: “immediately.” It acts as a sort of literary transition device and yet also sets the pace of this fast moving narrative. The journey on which Jesus takes his disciples is a surprising one and their bewildered reaction to Jesus is a big part of the story. In this eleven week series, we will be taking some of those turns and exploring a picture of what it looks like to follow Jesus.
