2020 Lenten Sermon Series

Empathy plays a big role in the Christian narrative.  The Incarnation is about God in Christ choosing to empty himself of his divine prerogative and experience what we experience and feel what we feel.  There is no pain or joy that we have known that has not also passed through the heart of God in Jesus Christ.  Thus as we follow Jesus and take on his mind, we learn to walk the way of empathy.  In this series of sermons we will explore the stories of Biblical characters and their various experiences of learning empathy.
