One of the most quoted lines in the literature of the Reformed Tradition is the answer to the first question in the Westminster Catechism which asks “What is the chief end of man?”  The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy him forever.   In short, according to the Westminster Catechism the point of our existence is the praise of God.  It is a bold statement, and as such begs another question.  Namely, what is praise?  This series will spend six weeks exploring how the act of praise moves us beyond our stunted imaginations and delivers us into God’s broad and open space. As we look at six Psalms we will unpack some of what it means to praise God and how that work of praise gives shape and substance to our lives.
