To be surpassed by those who come after us ought to provoke nothing but
delight. . . This life isn’t a rat race or a trap. It’s a vineyard, and we are each
invited to be co-labourers with God. The surest way forward for Christians will
be little, local, and guided by love. —

Prelude

Welcome and Announcements

Psalm 23:1, 5-6
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Responsive Call to Worship
Welcome to the baggage we carry, the joys we share,
the griefs we bear, and the worries we hold.
God invites us to come as we are.
Let us surrender all that we carry with us to the Lord.
Who says come to me and I will give you rest.
Come let us worship the Lord and rest in God's grace.

*Opening Songs:

Good To Me
I cry out for your hand of mercy to heal me.
I am weak, I need your love to free me.
Oh Lord, my rock, my strength in weakness.
Come rescue me, oh Lord. (2x)

You are my hope, your promise never fails me.
And my desire is to follow you forever.

 Chorus:
For you are good, for you are good.
For you are good to me.
For you are good, for you are good.
For you are good to me.

I cry out for your hand of mercy to heal me.
I am weak, I need your love to free me.
Oh Lord, my rock, my strength in weakness.
Come rescue me, oh Lord.

You are my hope, your promise never fails me.
And my desire is to follow you forever.

Chorus 2x

Come Let Us Worship and Bow Down
Come let us worship and bow down
Let us kneel before the Lord
Our God our Maker
Come let us worship and bow down
Let us kneel before the Lord
Our God our Maker

For He is our God
And we are the people of His pasture
And the sheep of His hand
Just the sheep of His hand

Repeat all

Responsive Prayer of Preparation
Almighty God, you love us, but we have not loved you.
You call, but we have not listened.
We walk away from neighbors in need,
wrapped in our own concerns.

God of grace, help us to see our need for you,
so that as you come to us in mercy,
we turn to you, and receive your gifts.
Open our eyes to your abundant love and our arms
to one another through Jesus Christ our Redeemer.

In God Alone (Taizé)
In God alone my soul can find rest and peace
In God my peace and joy
Only in God my soul can find its rest
Find its rest and peace

Sacred Silence

I Surrender All (#579)
All to Jesus I surrender,
all to him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust him,
In his presence daily live.

Chorus:
I surrender all,
I surrender all,
all to thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender,
humbly at his feet I bow,
worldly pleasures all forsaken:
take me, Jesus, take me now.

Chorus

All to Jesus I surrender,
make me, Savior, wholly thine;
may thy Holy Spirit fill me,
may I know thy power divine.

Chorus

All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to thee;
fill me with thy love and power,
let thy blessing fall on me.

Chorus

Prayers of the People & The Lord's Prayer

*Closing Song:

Forever O Lord
Forever O Lord
Your Word is settled in heaven
Your faithfulness Lord
Continues to all generations
Your covenant magnified
Exalted along with Your holy name
Rejoicing in promises

I meditate on all Your righteous ways
I lift up my hands
And praise the power of Your commands
Forever O Lord
Your Word shall stand
Forever O Lord
Your Word shall stand

Repeat all
