Prelude

Welcome and Announcements

Psalm 23:1, 5-6
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Responsive Call to Worship
O come, let us sing to the Lord
and shout with joy to the rock of our salvation!
Let us come into God’s presence with thanksgiving,
singing joyful songs of praise.

*Opening Songs:

I Know That My Redeemer Lives (#239)
I know that my Redeemer lives!
What joy this blest assurance gives!
He lives, he lives, who once was dead;
he lives my ever-living Head!

He lives triumphant from the grave;
he lives eternally to save;
He lives exalted, throned above;
he lives to rule his church in love.

He lives to bless me with his love;
he lives to plead for me above;
he lives my hungry soul to feed;
he lives to help in time of need

He lives, my kind, wise, heavenly friend;
he lives and loves me to the end;
he lives, and while he lives, I'll sing;
he lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King!

He lives, all glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same;
what joy this blest assurance gives:
I know that my Redeemer lives!

Come, All Christians, Be Committed (#578)
Come, all Christians, be committed
to the service of the Lord;
make your lives for him more fitted,
tune your hearts with one accord.
Come into his courts with gladness,
all your sacred vows renew,
turn away from sin and sadness,
be transformed with life anew.

Of your time and talents give ye,
they are gifts from God above,
to be used by Christians freely
to proclaim his wondrous love.
Come again to serve the Savior,
tithes and offerings with you bring;
in your work, with him find favor,
and with joy his praises sing.

Come in praise and adoration,
all who on Christ's name believe;
worship him with consecration,
grace and love will you receive.
For his grace give him the glory,
for the Spirit and the Word,
and repeat the gospel story
until all his name have heard.

Unison Prayer of Confession
Merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you
in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done
and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you
with our whole heart and mind and strength.
We have not loved our neighbor as ourselves.
In your mercy forgive what we have been,
grant us grace to amend what we are, and direct what we shall be,
So that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways,
to the glory of your holy name. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon and God's Love for Us
Hear the good news! Know that you are forgiven, and be at peace.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that
everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have
eternal life. Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world
to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be
saved through him. Amen and Amen.

Speak Life
George and Vickie Myers
(Please sing with us on the chorus)
So speak life, speak life
To the deadest darkest night
Speak life, speak life
When the sun won't shine and you don't know why
Look into the eyes of the broken hearted
Watch them come alive as soon as you speak hope
You speak love, you speak
You speak life, You speak life

Sacred Silence

Celebration of Communion
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks and praise to the Lord.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.

Prayers of the People & The Lord's Prayer

*Closing Song:

Jesus, Come! for We Invite You (#187)
Jesus, come! for we invite you,
guest and master, friend and Lord;
now, as once at Cana's wedding,
speak, and let us hear your word:
lead us through our need or doubting,
hope be born and joy restored.

Jesus, come! transform our pleasures,
guide us into paths unknown;
bring your gifts, command your servants,
let us trust in you alone:
though your hand may work in secret,
all shall see what you have done.

Jesus, come in new creation,
heaven brought near in power divine;
give your unexpected glory,
changing water into wine:
rouse the faith of your disciples—
come, our first and greatest Sign!

Jesus, come! surprise our dullness,
make us willing to receive
more than we can yet imagine,
all the best you have to give:
let us find your hidden riches,
taste your love, believe and live!
