Welcome & Announcements

Call to Worship
Lori Mercer, Liturgist

One:  Friends, Christ draws close to us.
His presence is not announced so much by searing light or angelic song,
as it is by the gradual recognition of something holy enmeshed in our daily lives.
All:  Simple as salt, common as bread, as unexpected as a treasure hidden in a field;
such is the presence of Christ with us in each ordinary day.
Leader: Let us worship God with joy!

*Song of Praise: Lord, I Lift Your Name on High
Kelly Hill, Vocals
Lord I lift Your name on high
Lord I love to sing Your praises
I'm so glad You're in my life
I'm so glad You came to save us
You came from heaven to earth to show the way
From the earth to the cross, my debt to pay
From the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky
Lord I lift Your name on high   Repeat

Call to Confession: Psalm 30:8-10

Unison Prayer
Gracious God, you have not hidden yourself from us, but we sometimes hide from you.
You reveal your presence, but we are blind to the ways you come to us.
You show us your way, but we follow paths of our own choosing.
Forgive us for our mistaken priorities and ready excuses.
Open our eyes to your presence and our hearts to your truth,
so that we may faithfully walk in your ways.

Moment of Silent Prayer

Song of Supplication: Come and Fill our Hearts with Your Peace
Come and fill our hearts with your peace. You alone, O Lord, are holy.
Come and fill our hearts with your peace. Alleluia!  Repeat

Word of Assurance: Psalm 30:11-12

Hymn of Gratitude: Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing
Come, Thou fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing thy grace
Streams of mercy never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the mount, I'm fixed upon it, mount of thy redeeming love.

Oh, to grace how great a debtor daily I'm constrained to be!
Let thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to thee
Prone to wander, Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love
Here's my heart, oh take and seal it, seal it for thy courts above

Scripture Reading: John 21:1-14
